Bruce W. Sielaff

Architect

Bruce W. Sielaff received his Bachelor of Arts degree at Lawrence University, Appleton, Wisconsin, in 1955. He completed the four year graduate program at Yale University and received his Master of Architecture degree from its School of Architecture in 1959. 

He joined the Office of Douglas Orr in New Haven in 1959, and was named an associate of the successor firm of Douglas Orr, deCossy, Winder & Associates in 1966. He joined Cesar Pelli & Associates in 1979 and became an associate of the firm in 1987. In 1991, Mr. Sielaff opened an architectural consulting practice, assisting architects and owners in the programming, planning, design, project management, and construction administration of commercial and institutional projects. 

Mr. Sielaff is a registered architect in Connecticut and an emeritus member of the American Institute of Architects. He is a member of local AIA chapter, AIA Connecticut, and has served as a Director, Treasurer, and Secretary of that organization. 

Since 1974, Mr. Sielaff has been active in Yale University alumni affairs serving as President of the Architecture Alumni Association and as a delegate of that organization to the Association of Yale Alumni. He also has served as a member of the Board and two terms in the office of Secretary of the Board of Governors of the AYA. He has served as a member of the advisory council to the Graduate and Professional School Student Center at Yale, as President of the Peabody Museum Associates Council, and is currently President of the Yale Club of New Haven. He has been an Associate Fellow of Berkeley College since 1987.
